Our History

Breeland Funeral Home was founded in January of 1959 by Lee A. Breeland, Jr., and has been serving the Madison County and metropolitan Jackson area for over 50 years. Breeland Funeral Home opened its doors in response to a need in the community for personalized, caring and compassionate service. Lee has dedicated most of his life to the service of our community families, and to this day, remains active in the business.

In 1983, Lee's son, Alex Breeland, joined the staff at Breeland Funeral Home as an apprentice. Growing up in and around funeral service, Alex learned the value of serving families with excellence, dedication, and integrity. In 1984, Alex graduated from East Mississippi Community College with his degree in Mortuary Science. Since that time, he has served our community with care and dedication, and currently holds the position of General Manager and Co-owner.

Responding to the need of our area families, Breeland Funeral Home added an on-site crematory in October of 2006. It is our hope to continue the tradition of dedicated service that was started by Lee Breeland so many years ago. We'd like to thank Madison County and the Jackson area for the trust that has been placed in us. We are honored to serve you!
